Headlight for the engine

A Proxxon 230D lathe is one of the recent additions to my workshop. It is so small that most engineers will consider it a toy.

But the small size has some advantages. When it is not in use it resides in the bottom drawer of my kitchen workbench. The Kitchen bench is a great place for operating the machine, since it is the most stable bench in the house!

I use a piece of 2mm rubber under the machine to avoid vibrations.

This is no machine for heavy-duty work, but it is great for the cosmetic parts I need.

And machining is fun; even a beginner like me can obtain useful parts in a short time.
